Literature Text

Fallen from the ignorant paradise,
Swallowed in the pit of shameful awareness.

A loveable side against the other,
A feud I have no power to end.

Love was the beginning,
And hate became the ending.

Money has turned into the goal,
Morals have turned second.

Each side wouldn’t lie,
Yet each side can’t be right.

I stand in the middle of the battlefield,
Hoping for a peaceful end,
While knowing someone will get hurt,
And without a doubt that person will be me.
So basically a little poem about some divorce issues that are going on right now between my parents. There is some issue with money and who is paying what for college and if I even have enough for college. It's been the topic of discussion for the last two weeks and I can't say it's not getting to me. Everyone is so eager to put the blame on someone else and it's making my head spin.

It's always painful when my parents fight as well. I like your first stanza a lot.
